ISB’s 4th Annual French and Spanish Children’s Book Fair

Over 1500 beautifully-illustrated children’s books, educational magazines, games, CDs and DVDs in French, Spanish and English will be on sale. This is New York City’s largest multilingual book event for children.

Selections of bestsellers and classics will be available from leading children’s book publishers including: Anaya, Bayard Jeunesse, Bruno, Ecole de Loisirs, Flammarion/Pere Castor, Fondo de Cultura Economica, Gallimard, Grupo Edebe, Kalandraka, La Galera, Milan Jeunesse, Scholastic Canada and others.

A bake sale and various children’s activities are planned, including storytime, arts and crafts, face painting and more.

ADMISSION: Free to enter; book items and bake sale prices vary

USED BOOK DONATION PROGRAM: Donate gently used, good-condition French or Spanish children’s books and receive $1 coupon per donated book. Coupons are valid towards new book purchases.

Claire and the Ornithological Shadow is the story of an awkward, lonely young woman with a passion for birds. Claire befriends a shadow and a new world of possibilities is opened to her in this whimsical and touching original play. Weaving performance, shadow play, puppetry, and live music, this simple yet beautiful production reminds us that change is not always as hard as it seems.
