THE CIRCUS OF CIRCUS A Tragic Tale of Entertainment Circus of Circus is a big-time, big-top musical of splendor and satire, adapted from George Orwell’s classic novella “Animal Farm”, following a darkly humorous tale of a corrupt circus troupe overthrowing their ringmaster to create a dazzling show of their own. The show combines tongue-in-cheek vintage musical theatrics and dazzling circus spectacles set to original parodies of jazz standards. Medgar Evers College Celebrates the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony of its School of Science, Health and Technology, Monday, October 4 date: Monday, October 4, 2010 time: 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM venue: Medgar Evers College address: 1638 Bedford Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11225 In the midst of the 40th Anniversary celebrations commemorating the founding of Medgar Evers College, the institution marks a major milestone with the opening of its $247 million-dollar School of Science, Health and Technology (1638 Bedford Avenue) on Monday, Oct. 4, 2010 at 11:30 am. For 40 years Medgar Evers College has spearheaded a community renaissance in the academic arena and through the tangible, infrastructural improvements that the growing institution has made to its environs. Funding for the project has been provided by New York State and New York City. Supporters include Governor David Paterson, former Governors Eliot Spitzer and George Pataki, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, Chancellor of The City University of New York Matthew Goldstein, as well as council members and community board leaders. This CUNY/Dormitory Authority of the State of New York project is managed by the joint venture firm of McKissack-Turner. |
